Buxworth 5 Road Race
10th Year!

Race Start 7.30pm
This is a certified 5 mile single lap road route on country lanes Cert. Ref:- 16/215 . The route has a few testing climbs(988ft/301m), with the last mile being flat, therefore this is not a PB course. The route is suitable for most people, but unfortuntely NOT wheelchairs.
The race will be run under UK Athletics Rules:

The wearing of Earphones or similar devices are not permitted at this race for your own safety, as the road will not be closed to traffic. Anybody wearing Earphones or similar devices will be disqualified.

The race start and finish race is at the Navigation Inn, Bugsworth
Canal Basin, Buxworth, High Peak, Derbyshire, SK23 7NE.
Car Parking and Toilets are available at the Navigation Inn. This
country inn also offers a good selection of bar meals and beer,
making this an ideal venue for the family to wait whilst you take
part in the race or indeed for a post race meal and drink. Pub

I am disappointed to let you all know that due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation and in line with government and England Athletics guidance we have had to cancel this year’s race.
The race will next take place be on Tuesday 27th April 2021 next year.
